To fully experience Egypt’s rich cultural history, one should take a tour of the country’s museums, starting with the Egyptian Museum. Over the past century, the museum has amassed an enormous collection of genuine artifacts, totaling more than 120,000 pieces. Among its most notable exhibits is the gallery dedicated to the boy king Tutankhamun, featuring nearly 2,000 items. Highlights of this collection include the life-sized solid gold mask and two gem-adorned coffins.
After exploring the museum, continue your tour with a visit to the Citadel to see the Mosque of Mohamed Ali, followed by a stroll through the historic bazaars of Khan El Khalili. This tour promises to be both educational and enjoyable.
As a private tour, it offers great flexibility. If you’d like more time for photography or have additional questions about the history and architecture, please let me know.

Will smith –
Nahla was fantastic. Everywhere we went she had lots of information to share, and wise travel tips. She was kind to the people and animals around us, and made the entire experience smooth and easy.
Richard Guetzloff –
My wife and I enjoyed two wonderful days with Nahla the first weekend in February 2024. We did the Pyramids, museums, and Citadel. Nahla is a wonderful guide, full of knowledge and very accommodating. My wife was a bit apprehensive coming to Cairo due to the geopolitical situation along with some concerns as a woman in Egypt. Nahla put my wife at ease with her kind and pleasant demeanor. We also did some shopping and Nahla was very helpful finding the best shops. We both highly recommend Nahla!

Our day visiting the pyramids with Nahla was very memorable – it felt much more like going around with a friend than a tour guide. Our young daughter loved the fact that Nahla brought food to feed many of the stray dogs living around the sights, it kept her very busy and engaged throughout the day. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly all along the Giza plateau, visiting a local bakery and ending the afternoon at Saqqara- Nahla provided great context and guidance all along the way.
